This is a very leafy park. Each site has power and water but no sewer. There are public toilets and showers. Whilst the RV park is fine not having a sewer dump station there is a bit of a nuisance. There is a dump station up at the Nth Falls group camping area approx 4-5 miles up the road.

So many state parks are just off a highway somewhere, but this one's remote, rather out in the country, while being just a half hour plus shot out of Salem, Oregon. In a foresty area with some elevation, it's surrounded by beautiful hiking trails and falls. Campsites are well looked after with fairly level asphalt bads, picnic tables and fire... More

6 of us went on a hike... 7 year old, 3 teenagers and 2 adults. Great hike for all! Nothing strenuous and a few options to make it a shorter hike if you wanted to. Trails are well maintained.. some rocky, some with roots.. but all clear . Amazing views throughout! We didn't check out the lodge. Main restrooms were... More

We popped in here and walked around the South Falls Loop, which was really quick and beautiful. It was easy, lovely, and totally worth the stop. We didn't have the time to devote to the trail of the 10 Falls, which I imagine would have been even better.

I was there on Sunday April 30 in the late afternoon. Great trail to see plenty of waterfalls not too strenuous. So fun to walk behind 2 of the falls. Be prepared to get damp from the backsplash of water coming down. Really a great place to see so many waterfalls in one area. Park was busy but not crowded... More

With most waterfalls you get to see the front side of water. On the South Falls trail you get to go behind the waterfall! This part of Silver Falls State Park is like a fairy land. I am a desert girl so all the green and water almost didn't seem real. When you get to this part of the park... More

Easiest and best way to see all the 10 waterfalls is as follows: 1. South Falls and Lower South Falls in 1 hike (about 2.7 miles round trip) 2. Park the car at the Winter Falls Trailhead and hike 3 miles round trip to view Winter Falls, Middle North Falls (best on this hike), Drake Falls, Double Falls, Lower North... More

this is a must see place for waterfall lovers. im spoiled living near the thundering waters of the umpqua river, so this place was very touristy and crowded.... but the benefit was well maintained paths and facilities. there is a 5$ parking fee so bring exact change. there are ten falls and a variety of different hikes and paths from... We hiked the 10 waterfalls. I timed it and it was 9 miles. Beautiful and safe park. Make sure you have rain coats as it rains a lot. I would say it is moderate hike and have a lot of water and protein bars. It was awesome to go behind some of the waterfalls. Have great traction hiking shoes. We... More
