Beautiful and historical. Rich and full of culture. The history here will truly take you back. We walked along the trails, had a fabulous lunch, read EVERYTHING inside we could find and spent serious time here. Try this for sure, you won't be sorry.

Built of heavy timbers and local stone by the WPA during the depression, the style and solid feeling of this lodge are timeless. Lots of art deco styling throughout. Great view up to the summit (on a clear day) and to the south. Hiking trails...More

I love to stay at the Mt. Hood Lodge. I climbed the mountain starting from there at one time. It is a bit dated as it was built in the depression days as a works project. The magnificient fireplace and the use of woods throughout...More

Visiting our son in Portland and they took us up to mount Hood for a hike and then dinner. The lodge itself is amazing. The timbers they used to build the place are beyond explanation, this says nothing about the massive fireplace. Oh ya, this...More

We have visited many times and this was our second stay. We plan on returning for our 50th. Great place to visit even if you don't stay.

Great hotel, very historic, built in the 30's as a WPA project. A must stay if you can afford the high prices.

I came here to hike and Mountain Bike with a close friend. We had a magnificent time and enjoyed the views. We went to Trillium Lake and hiked around the entire lake. It was beautiful to see at night.

The lodge is a beautiful historical landmark. However, if like me you are wondering why there are rooms left on a Saturday night 2 days after Christmas, wonder mo more: the lodge is simply overpriced and badly organized. $325 + tax for a small room...More
