Great to take a drive in the springtime. Lots of beautiful waterfalls and hikes. If your take I84 stop and visit the Bonneville dam and fish hatchery. Nice sturgeon viewing in the ponds.

It's everything you read about and more. You can't come to Oregon and not take this drive. Be sure to stop at all of the falls along the way and then head into Troutdale and have lunch at Tad's Chicken and Dumplings.

We drove I-84 out to Cascade Locks, OR and crossed the Bridge of the Gods. It was neat. We came back towards the Bonneville Fish Hatcher, only one fish in the locsk, but it is only March. We saw Herman the sturgeon. He IS big. Then we came back on Highway 30 to see Horsetail Falls and Multnomah Falls. It... More

Great trip out the old hwy. This hwy was constructed between the years on 1913 and 1922 and when you see the roadway you can't help but be impressed by the amount of work that went into this project. If I leave my house I can be on the old hwy in about 15 min, and my wife, kids and... More

Go to the Vista center and she what nature has done with wind, water, and the gorge The highway goes along the Columbia River. Stop at the different dams along the highway and watch the fish go up the river. See the many great waterfalls. There are several good places to eat

This is a drive worth taking, and if you are usually the driver do yourself and have someone else drive so you can take in the sites. The views are breathtaking. The weather is a little extreme so make sure to be prepared with windbreaker/jacket and maybe chains for the car. Make sure you stop for photos, you will not... More

We visit this place as much as we can. We want to visit this place during all season. But winter may not be that safe to visit. As most of the road was closed due to flooding and landslides. But you can enter this highway from different places and see multnomah falls and crown point easily. Multnomah falls can be... More

We took the scenic route from Multnomah falls to Troutedale. It was so beautiful and relaxing. We took our time to stop and see all the falls and take in the history of the area. It was such a nice Sunday drive.
