We go here often to walk and shell hunt. The beach is super clean and a great place to just set and to watch and listen to the waves. Even when it's stormy we love this place because of the big waves. There are rest rooms and a large parking lot. If you want to just take a relaxed walk... More

Nice beach with good parking, easy access. Wide sandy beach with room to walk, beachcomb, or just watch the waves or people fishing at the mouth of the river.

Lovely and a great place to take along walk and your dog get a nice run. Clean as it can be and not particularly crowded. Close to several nice campgrounds. We chose the KOA, with no regret.

We liked the easy beach access. Appreciate the restrooms and ample parking. This is a good beach for walking. The day we were here in March, 2016, there was a strange substance on the beach. It looked like small black beads and blue/black webbing. We think it was tar like they have on the beaches of the Carolinas (the Tar... More

Easy access off Hwy 101, lots of parking and wide open beaches to walk on. Dog friendly (on a leash) and please remember to pick up after your animal. =)

We enjoy stopping at this convenient beach site just south of Waldport. Plan on walking north when the tide is lower and then turn east to see the splendid Alsea River meeting the Pacific. Often we see seals, bald eagles and abundant sand dollars. The view of the bridge is spectacular as well, as are the bed and breakfast (Cliff... More

Easy short walk from parking lot. Never seems too crowded, Walk south about a mile and visit Big Stump.

The best thing about Oregon beaches is the lack of people on them. Patterson is a big, beautiful and clean beach right at the edge of town. Being that close to town it gets a lot more visitors than most the other local spots. That said, it still has lots of wide open spaces even at it's busiest times.
