Was not a clear day so we took our chances. Only decent views of Mt Hood. Great little fishing area. Nice couple of miles hike.

We only hiked for about two hours once we got up into the mountain but it was beautiful! We were so glad we came. We drove up to the lodge and hiked from there. It was gorgeous and fun!

The drive to here from Portland is lovely especially as you near the mountain and start to get some views. Plenty of awesome hiking and camping.

Check the brochures - they give details about the length of hikes and levels of: good for anyone, mid, and high. If you stop at the ranger station or visitor centers, talk to the people there. They have a lot of knowledge.
