This beach is always calm. There are fish that swim along the shore as you walk the beach. Starfish are seen moving below the water. It's quiet and very beautiful. There is now a little place that rents chairs and non-motorized water activities. The sunsets are a must see from this beach. Can't wait to go back!

Loved walking the beach here, and visiting the shipwreck. If you like collecting sea glass, we found more here than we have anywhere else in our travels. The beach is gorgeous and the restaurants excellent.

We loved the easy snorkeling off both ends of the beach, the shipwrecked boats, and the easygoing feel of Sandy Ground. Because this beach has the customs house for Anguilla it is a bit busier than other beaches on the island, but definitely worth a visit.

On our most recent visit to AXA and Sandy Ground, one of our favorite villages day or night, we were presently surprised to see several new additions. The Sandbar has reopened, and is great. There's a new water sport center with paddle boards, kayaks, hobbies, day charters, etc....called Seapro. And our favorite beach bar in the world, Elvis', just keeps... More

We were lucky to find Johnno's on our first day for Sunday lunch and ended our visit there the following Sunday. Great people, great bay, great places like The Pumphouse, Roy's, Ripples. Beautiful and the place to be in the evening!

Sandy Ground is a great night spot: Elvis's (not my favorite), Pump House (so so) and Dad's--definitely the best. if you can catch the music on Sundays and Tuesdays the reggae is great. Debbie is the best bartender on the island.

I stayed a week on Anguilla with Sandy Ground as my home base (stayed at Body and Soul - reviewed elsewhere). While I traveled the entire island during my time there, and visted a number of the other beaches, I still found myself "at home" trying one of the local Sandy Ground restaurants Within several hundred yards are a half... We love to come to Sandy Ground on Thursdays, you can go to dinner at Dolce Vita, do a bit of shopping, have a drink or two at Elvis, then do a bit of dancing at Pump House....overall, we love to be in Anguilla.

Elvis' bar is an excellent, unique experience. The owner was so friendly he gave us a ride back to our villa. Roy's also is an excellent restaurant located in Sandy Ground. The staff is so wonderful and the lobster salad is to die for.
