Interesting and pleasant place to visit, but most of the buildings are not original to the location and the history was not clear. Perhaps we need to learn more about the history of the area.

Old Bedford Village is not a reconstruction of a specific time or place. It was designed as a tourist attraction (a "living history" village) showing what life was like at different times in the 18th and 19th centuries. So, while it is not Williamsburg, it is worth a visit. In addition to the many buildings, they have crafters who enjoy... More

Even though it was very hot the day we visited, the experience was enjoyable. There was potter and a blacksmith there demonstrating their craft. The day we visited, the 'union generals' were planning a presentation later in the day. So, the houses, store, tavern were mostly unoccupied as they were all visiting together in the town center. I would have... More

We happened upon Old Bedford Village while looking for someplace to visit before heading home to eastern Pennsylvnia. It's very close to the Bedford exit on the PA Turnpike, so convenience was a factor. It was so unpretentious from the outside we almost didn't go in; what a blunder that would have been! After paying a modest admission fee ($10... More

A beautiful place to bring the family. Nice open area where kids can run and learn about the historic parts of our country.

We spent a few hours and stopped in the "old saloon" for some lemonade and root beer. Good for family, would suggest you don't go on a hot day or start early.

This was a place to just stroke around and enjoy! The volunteer staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The kids loved the potter's shop. The horses slobbered a lot!!

This is a neat collection of old wooden houses, some are log homes, it is similar to lots of other collections. There is a nice area for re-enactments.

Found this little gem while on a family get away. Our 6 year old loved it as did we. Interesting history. Everyone that was a "resident" of the village was very knowledgeable of who they were playing the part of. Every one of them was great with kids as well. We will definitely be back in the future
