For as important a place as Brandywine is, the Battlefield as an attraction felt like a colossal waste of potential. Washington's Headquarters was interesting and all, but the one at Valley Forge was better. The grounds also need better upkeep, as the grass is overgrown. The museum felt like the basement at the middle school I went to. The artifacts... More

We watched the movie and paid for a tour of Washington's headquarters, which was only so-so. You can do a self-guided tour and get as much out of it. I was disappointed that the other buildings were no longer available to tour, but we still took a look around them and peered in the windows.

Battlefield is small and not much to see or explore, nothing like Gettysburg. It was a very cold day when I visited, so I didn't get to walk around and the visitor center looked closed but I heard it gives you a lot of information when you go into it.

If you have been to Gettysburg or a comparable Civil War battlefield, then this Revolutionary War site will leave a lot to be desired. The land is beautiful and some of the houses restored, but there is not much to see. No monuments or placards telling you where parts of the battle happened. In fact, one of the information markers... More

The only way it would be better is if the "Washington house" was the actual house that Washington stayed in and used as his head quarters, and the reproduction. Also the Washington coat and hat in the house are way to small for a man of his size.

I was running errands and needed to stretch my legs.......that is when I stumbled upon this Battlefield. Not much to see, but interesting enough for history buffs. Plus you can get some pretty cool pics here with family for holiday cards 😉

It's actually a huge part of British and American History. The largest battle of the Revolutionary War took place here. In addition to the war, you see what life was like during the 17th and early 18th century America. Beautiful grounds and very nice tour guides.

A memorial to a time when the struggle for freedom cost so many lives. This is a beautiful setting to sit and meditate on America's Freedom.

Stopped at the end of a day touring gardens. Stopped at the visitor center and then drove to the graveyard as the houses had just closed for the day.

Our step on guide was spectacular - his knowledge in every aspect of the Brandywine Battle is mind blowing. Friendly, nice gentleman that made the tour and visit awesome. We first watched a video which is a nice introduction to the battle.
