We drove up Old Mine Road from I80 to Dingman's Ferry (East side of park). We were a little early fall foliage. It was of the off season so it was a nice lazy drive and very little traffic. Took several detours to Millbrook Village,...More

The recreation area spans a number of miles, and each overlook provides a slightly different vantage of the water gap. My favorite part was Dinghman's Falls, a natural waterfall area. Easy hike on a boardwalk-like path to reach the Falls. Quite lovely to see.

Tried to view from the different overlooks but either the views were overgrown, hard to get to or just not that impressive.Directions in both Pa. and N.J. are vague at best.

Edge of the woods was the outfitter we used. They were very nice and the trip was great. I recommend to get on the water early if you like to avoid the crowds!

Tom is correct. There is nothing close to the trails to stay. I highly recommend Cherry Valley Manor Bed and Breakfast. About 20 minute drive to the trail. Great accommodations big breakfast to get you through the ride... More
