A bit overpriced but it seems works for Erie. I would like them to solicit more paintings and painters versus dowdy 3 rate masters. There are so many great living artists in Erie

A quirky and delightful mix of exhibits, with an emphasis on contemporary local artists. Love the room curated by kids from local schools. Don't know what the spooky, cylindrical bricklined space was originally, but it makes a great exhibit space.

It was a little confusing to navigate the upper floors of the museum, but we managed. Loved the Pittsburgh glass exhibit(as I am from Pittsburgh) and the tiffany glass exhibit as well. And free admission on Wednesdays was a pleasant surprise

We've visited a few times. Besides the attractive building I'm not a fan at all and glad I got in for free!! The Erie Art Museum has been run by the same person for 25 years and it shows!! Honestly it's more like antique roadshow...More

We stopped by to check out Ancient Ink, but we ended up visiting all of the galleries, and we really enjoyed the art selection and curation.

Our cruise boat was in Erie on Monday, July 31st, when the Art museum was closed. That was too bad as I wanted to go inside and see some of their exhibitions. I did think that the sculpture out from was quite interesting -- a...More

We were glad we went on Wednesday when the museum is free. There's no free parking, so we had to circle the blocks to find a meter, then guess how much time to buy. We walked to the entrance on the main street, it directed...More

We have artists in our family that can appreciate the art posted in this museum. And we enjoyed the extent of the talent offered with each piece.

I bit of a lot of things. They are a lovely small art museum. They were having a special exhibit of the work of a couple of more local artists (one a photographer, the other a painter) last summer when I was there.
