I'm sort of an animal whisperer, have had all kinds at my home. So when I figured out the correct lion voice, I loudly (I'm not shy), let out with it! The male lion responded! We went back and forth. A crowd appeared and enjoyed it with us. (the female lion responded to the male lion, as if she was... More

This is a great little zoo that is large enough to keep the kids entertained, but not so large that their little legs give out and end up making it a bad experience. Quite a few animals at the zoo to see. Some of the enclosures could be larger though. there is a carousel for the kids to ride and... More

Lots of fun things to explore and animals to see. We love the train ride especially. Would love to see some Elephants and another giraffe.

What a nice experience for young children. They get to see all the animals and exhibits before the zoo closes in the winter. Perfect amount of treat stops and the staff dressed up in costumes is really cute. The flow of walking this zoo just makes sense. Some zoo's you have to keep walking back and forth on the same... Nice small zoo in the heart of the city. Easy to walk around. Can be a bit crowded on holiday weekends.

I visit this zoo each year, but I've also visited the National Zoo in Washington DC and the Pittsburgh Zoo. And the Erie Zoo is impressive considering it is located in a relatively small city. It houses a giraffe, lions, tigers, a leopard, a family orangutans, adorable red pandas, and much more. The kangaroo exhibit is one of my favorites,... More

Not too shabby for being a zoo on the smaller side! My fiance and I were 1st time visitors to the Erie area and decided to go here. We were glad we stopped. I fell in love with the female lions :) The rhinos were awesome, the jaguar made some scary noises (pretty sure he was hungry heh), and the... More

The zoo was clean, but the animals do not have much space or natural environment. The animals were not active and often times were by themselves. I will not visit again. They need to update.

This zoo has about 400 animals from about 100 species, including penguins, lions, leopards, tigers, wallabies, lemurs, monkeys, kangaroos, zebras, otters, rhinoceroses, etc. It also has 11 gardens. The price of admission was very reasonable. The zoo looked nice, and I had fun walking around. Erie is fortunate to have such a nice zoo.
