Great informative wine tasting

We come here for some of the best Pennsylvania wines. They offer wine tasting and it is a good way to try something new. The prices are modest for such great quality. It is a fun way to spend a few hours with your friends!

This is a very special event just in time for Valentines Day. Five course dinner, five different wines. All delicious and well paired. The explanation by the owner Joseph made it thoroughly entertaining. Foods from soup to cheeses to salads to files mignon to dessert - all perfect!

Went on weekday afternoon and we were the only 2 there. Our guide was very informative and not in a hurry. The wines were relatively average but good. We used a Groupon which included wine tasting souvenir glasses cheese and crackers. Very fun time. Will definitely return in September/ October to see the harvest and bottling process.

The tasting involves 12 wines for $10 (souvenir glass included). The selection is good, and the written descriptions, supplemented by the attendant, were informative. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

The visit was a contradiction, The building and site are amazing but the winery lacks the finishing touches. Little attention is paid to detail, the extra little touches that make a place special. The staff is mostly friendly, but they have a sprinkling of people who truly do not want to be there (older lady). The wines are classic PA... More

I am not big on Wine but I wanted to have a Wine Tasting for my birthday so I found this company through groupons and it was a great find. It was a wine tasting, tour, and small lunch for 2 at a great cost. We were coming from out of town and arrived at the location pretty early. The... More

Scenery is beautiful but guide sounded like he has spouted off the same talk 50,000 times! Perhaps he has but the visitors aren't supposed to know it. They don't rinse out the wine glasses in between each tasting! They just kept pouring new wine in glasses. Thought that was very strange. They don't give you water with the "picnic" lunch........ We have wine tasted in Europe, US and Canada and this is the best experience we have ever had. It was a Friday so we were by ourselves at the tasting bar. It started with a lesson on Chardonnay which my wife has not cared for, up till now. Sandcastle's Chardonnay is unlike any we have ever had, both the... More

The winery was very nice. It was tucked away in the back woods of PA which made it a nice exclusive place. The tour was simple and covered all the basics of producing wine from start to finish. We also did the wine tasting which was wonderful for anyone who enjoys wine. There were 13 different wines we tried and... More
