We used to camp here when I was a teenager and wow have things changed! The bathhouse was clean and very nice. We had a full hookup site which was unheard of back in the day. One thing that hasn't changed is how friendly everyone is and how peaceful the setting is. We talked with so many people. We had... More

This is a beautiful park! Went second week of April with 8 & 9 year olds. Chilly some days, sunny and warm others. Fireplaces with cooking grills at every site. Bathrooms, dish stations, laundry (bring quarters!) are clean and well kept. Rangers are kind and watchful. Water is beautiful-- we had toes in on beach and in fishing holes (bring... More

We visited in March, there was still snow on the ground and the waters were still iced over. Gorgeous lakes, wildlife, pretty easy hikes. Definitely have some cool campsites that I will be visiting this summer.

My boyfriend and I went away for our six month anniversary. We ended up staying a very small, family owned cottage. However, we took a trip to find some nice scenic overlook that and we came across this state park. The views were amazing, the weather was great! The trail was so easy to use and it was such a... We stayed 3 nights at a Pickeral Point electric site within view of the lake last week. What a treat. The site (101) was relatively level, clean and was just what we had hoped for. There was no water at this site but we could fill our collapsible jug from the freeze proof spigot 2 sites down from our spot.... More

This is another wonderful state park that offer couples and families for great bonding time. So easy to park and so many things to do here. Here is very nicely kept and great for picnic, bicycling, hiking or just seat nearby the lake and gaze at the sky. We went kayaking and canoeing on the lake, though, the rental place... More

We have a vacation home not too far from here and love to visit. It is so beautiful and well kept. There are some homes in the area that look abandoned or uncared for. Don't let that scare you. The beaches are nice and the public areas are very clean. It feels like you are in the middle of no-where,... More
