We brought our six-year-old and eight-year-old daughter and they both had a variety of things that interested each of them in the museum. Our eight-year-old loved the old town and our six-year-old love the bugs!

Street parking- ingenious parking meters, let you know when your metered time is up. On nice days- make sure you get here before/ after lunchtime- it's a mess. This museum has an interesting mix of science and history- what our family enjoys. I like that had some interaction and at the beginning of the museum there was a place for... More

The museum has an impressive collection of Indian artifacts. Everything from simple scrappers to ornate hand carved jewelry. The skill these people had with the use of stone is hard to believe sometimes, very impressive. Well well worth the visit and most educational. A top shelf exhibit........

Went here for a class trip with the 4th grade. The kids had a great time, were very interested & learned quite a bit. This is really a nice & educational museum on the history of Pennsylvania.

This building has much more on the inside than one would guess from the outside. We didn't have much time--and were looking forward to lunch--so tried to be efficient. The staff is SO nice and the ladies at the front desk got us oriented. And never stopped smiling while the tots squealed and screamed in the exploratorium there on the... More

I had time to spare so I went here. It does not look like much outside, but when you go inside, there is much. Not your average museum. Oh, go on a Sunday if you can because only street parking is available, and it is only free on Sunday.

really interesting either with adults or kids. So much to see and enjoy. Can look at leisurely pace or with kids who want to run to see everything yet they stop to ooh & awaa at the different displays. Have gone several times both ways & plan to go again. Went with family & grand children visiting and have gone... More

Had a great time at this museum on a cold Saturday. It is priced reasonably and a lot bigger than we expected. Great kids area for when the little ones lose interest. Parking is the only downfall. $9 bucks for 3 hours.

We visited with my 5 year old and hung out in the creativity connection area for about half an hour but it was pretty small, so he was ready to move on after that. We went through all 3 other floors of the museum in about half an hour as well. He was quite perplexed by the taxidermy and I... More
