Even though the day was bright, sunny and in the 60's, it was still February. There wasn't much to see outside in the garden. But the butterfly exhibit was delightful. There are many different kinds of butterflies living in the butterfly room. The docent had lots of info to share about the butterflies and their lives. He even brought some... More

Dreary, cold December day is a great day to visit the gardens, we pretty much had the place to ourselves! We have season passes to the Gardens so we try to go at least once every few months, winter is rather bland time of year compared to other seasons but its still a nice place to walk and enjoy nature.

We have been here once before in the spring when they had beautiful flowers in bloom. This time we went in Feb...no flowers to speak of. The butterfly garden was awesome, albeit small. Beautiful butterflies, and a very nice woman "docent" (forgot her name). We did buy things in the gift shop for our grandkids. We will return in flower-bloom... More

Our first visit to this attraction and even though it is winter the butterfly atrium is wonderful. Many species of butterflies and they are eating fruit and flying around and will actually sit on you. They seemed to love a bright blue on my grandson's sweat shirt, and wanted to investigate my camera. The children's outside garden is awesome (Hershey... More

I'm a member, but was not able to return for a visit since they opened up the new conservatory. The Butterflies were great. Also hit it on the last day of the Orchid Show - oops - should've checked website - so the place was packed. But still the experience was fun, will just remember to check event schedule in... More

We enjoyed the butterfly atrium very much! It was well organized and they have a nice variety of butterflies and larvae. We also walked in the garden and saw a variety of winter birds.

We actually went here in the winter, so I cannot comment on the gardens. We came for the butterflies. They have an excellent educational demonstration showing all of the stages of butterfly development. Occasionally you might be able to have a butterfly land on you, if you like (wear red if you want to encourage them). I got some excellent... More

A special 3-day Orchid Show complemented the butterfly atrium at Hershey Gardens on this winter day in February. We visited the Orchid Show first since we anticiptaed a larger crowd later in the morning. Just a fantastic array of beautiful orchids spread throughout the display area in the Conservatory. re worth the price of admission, but of course are only... More

We visited the Butterfly Atrium which is a toasty 80+ so dress accordingly. Loads of photo ops with over 400 butterflies. Don't miss the back wall with butterflies emerging from chysallises. Not much happening in the outdoor gardens but we walked around and saw some interesting trees and a few hellebores in bloom. Entrance fees are discounted through March 31... More
