My wife and I moved to San Juan del Sur 2 years ago and learning Spanish was high on our list of priorities. We orginally chose Spanish Ya because of their location off the busy streets and their competitive pricing. We also liked that they were flexible with our schedules. We studied twice a week for over 18 months and... More

Great Spanish school! The school is outside, in the shade, and everything is arranged very well. The staff is super friendly, my teacher was amazing and helped me improve a great deal in just 3 weeks. Yahaira speaks great English and is willing to help you with your stay or any other questions you might have. I stayed with a... More

My twin eleven year old sons and I attended classes at Spanish Ya for 5 weeks. The individual instruction along with fun activities made our Nicaraguan experience incredible. We did not have any prior Spanish experience and all three of our teachers were extremely patient, helpful and tailored our instruction to our individual strengths. We spent 100 hours at the... Three weeks of Spanish classes and I learned a lot and had fun. One on one training every morning, lovely staff, and the other students were entertaining to boot. They offer some fun excursions and activities a few times a week. They put me up with a friendly family nearby. I am so glad I did it. Really well-run and... More

Spend 2 weeks in this wonderful Spanish school with my girlfriend. I had Dinorah as a teacher, and I sure that she is one of the better teachers in this school. Since my girlfriend and I are medical students, we prefer a systematic learning approach. That was exactly was I was given - everyday she would put all the information... More

This was an amazing experience! The school is well organized and run very effectively. I appreciated that every day there was a clear lesson plan and homework and that everything built off of each other. I also loved the adventures in the afternoon to different local attractions and activities. It gave me an opportunity to practice my Spanish. San Juan... More

My son and I spent 2 weeks in SJDS. My son has had 1 year of high school Spanish and I have had 4 plus one year of college (several years ago). I was so impressed with Spanish Ya. Their method of teaching is extremely impressive. One on one teachers for 4 hours per day is amazing. The environment is... More

I spent three weeks, four hours daily and it was just great. My teacher, Dolores was fantastic. She found the right mix between grammar, discussions and other way to teach me Spanish in a way I sometimes was not even aware she was teaching me. The school is well organized, exercises are always readily available, the classroom is under a... More
