If you haven't read The Decameron yet, you will want to do so after this visit. I got the impression that much of the house has been redone, but it was still nice. Best part: the tower. What a great view from the top!

That we still have the glorious tower for glorious vistas and the house of Boccaccio itself is a minor miracle as it was indirectly bombed during the Second World War and suffered significant damage. Here we have a fascinating library with generous bi-lingual tidbits in translation of information related to a major romantic figure in world literature. The portraits are... More

not too exciting anyway. Nothing that you don't know already. I would have expected more original pieces of furniture.

The reading was in English which is a second language for the reader, however he did the most fantastic job! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

We didn't have time for the museum but were able to visit the Casa. It seemed like a comfortable space, with great views from the upper floor and the tower. Boccaccio memorabilia are distributed around the house, and there a number of panels offering explanation. Unfortunately they are in Italian only, leaving the great majority of tourists in the dark.... More

As some other have said the museum is quiet small but for this and palace is does only cost €3. The library is amazing, small garden is beautiful but for me the view from the tower is worth the visit alone!

If you are a fan of Boccaccio, this is a wonderful stop. Very well presented. Only thing lacking was an English translation of Decameron.

The museum was amazing. Some artifacts dating back to 2 and 300 BC. You need to take your time and walk slowly soaking up the history and reading the english translations (bonus). The building itself is in incredible condition and very well preserved. I would have prefered to see more antiquities in the castle as opposed to some modern art.... More

The museum itself wasn't very interesting for us as a family as all the information was in Italian however the view of Certaldo from the tower made it something special. Worth the visit!
