Interesting middle-age environment, both his home and the community in general, but with the exception of the computerized information screen in his “library”, all exhibitions/descriptions are only in Italian. Easily reached by train to Certaldo from nearby Florence, then take the funicular up the hillside...More

It's a lovely little house, but unless you are a person of letters, and can read and understand Italian it seems mainly devoted to printed panels , fine in themselves but information you can get from other sources. Visitors seem to like the tower, but...More

If you haven't read The Decameron yet, you will want to do so after this visit. I got the impression that much of the house has been redone, but it was still nice. Best part: the tower. What a great view from the top!

We didn't have time for the museum but were able to visit the Casa. It seemed like a comfortable space, with great views from the upper floor and the tower. Boccaccio memorabilia are distributed around the house, and there a number of panels offering explanation....More

As some other have said the museum is quiet small but for this and palace is does only cost €3. The library is amazing, small garden is beautiful but for me the view from the tower is worth the visit alone!

If you are a fan of Boccaccio, this is a wonderful stop. Very well presented. Only thing lacking was an English translation of Decameron.
