Established in 1875, this independent family owned brewery is steeped in history, heritage & traditional skills, as well as a wide collection of carefully hand crafted ales. With an on-site Sample Bar, Brewery Shop & Visitor Centre, there's certainly much more to Wadworth - a visit to see our Shire Horses, who deliver our ales across town each week day, is highly recommended! The Visitor Centre is FREE admission, however fees apply to our guided tours.

Scheduled tours are available daily at 11am & 2pm, catering for up to 60 people, prices start from £9.00pp. Brewery Tours include a visit to the main production areas, our on-site Sign Studio; where guests can gaze at our unique hand painted pub signs, followed by a visit to the Stables, finishing with a tutored beer sampling session. Our Visitor Centre & Brewery Shop is open each week day from 10am-5pm (except bank holidays), and is always well stocked with your favourite Wadworth ales and gifts.

The tour was insightful and fun, it was great to hear some of the history of the brewery (and it is packed with history) whilst moving from room to room. Some parts were old-style Victorian and still in use and some parts were state of the art. The bar is a good area and whilst I was driving so didn't... More

This tour will last just over 2 hours (I'd say a good 30 mins is tasting) The lady that took us around was very clear and informative. Loads of information and they will answer any questions you have. The only thing that some people may have a problem with is all the steps that you go up and down. Unfortunately... More

Did the tour with a visitor to our area and he was delighted at the information given; the experience of seeing (and smelling!) the brewing and even tasting the ingredients. Our guide was most informative and happily answered questions. Loved seeing the artist at work and the explanations about various pub signs throughout Wadworthshire. Neither of us wanted to try... This tour is a great way to spend 3hours. Plenty of interest for all ages...and beer lovers...or non lovers alike. You are led around the old Victorian building (a few steep steps in places but lots of rails) to learn about the beer making process. The guide was excellent, enthusiastic and clearly had a great knowledge...and interest in beer...and brewing!... More

A little bit of an unfriendly welcome at the brewery, but the tour guide that took us around was very good. It was really interesting and great to be able to try the beers out at the end.

Hi LizH89, Thank you for the review - we always appreciate feedback from our guests, good or bad! I'm sorry to read that your welcome to Wadworth wasn't up to the usual high standard, this is very unusual & I can only apologise that it wasn't the best first impression of us. I am however very pleased to hear that... More

Great tour around the brewery - old & new. Very informative. Our tour guide was full of really interesting tales about the history of Wadworths. It wasn't rushed and we were shown the process of beer brewing from beginning to end. The visit to the still used shires horses was lovely and of course the highlight was the beer sampling... More

Visited as a family group and really enjoyed the experience. The brewery itself is interesting, and the sign shop (where pub signs are painted by hand) and the Shire horses added variation. The tasting of 6 different beers at the end of the tour was well done with good explanations of the characteristics of the various beers. Also not stingy... More

Did a guided tour of the brewery, the guide was very helpful and informative, free taster samples are included at the end of the tour. Down side is that the bottled beers from the on site shop are not cheap. You could get them cheaper on an offer at a supermarket, I would've thought that the cheapest place to buy... More

Thank you for your review, glad to hear that you enjoyed the tour & tasting with us. We appreciate feedback (good & bad!) from our guests, it helps us to continually improve things. The bottles in the Brewery Shop are priced competitively against the supermarkets, plus we have the full range of ales in store which is what sets up... More
