The Kennet & Avon Canal has awesome examples of canal engineering. At Caen Hill, you can see the longest continuous flight of locks in the country.

Went for a four mile walk along the canal, passing the Caen Hill Locks. What an amazing sight! It was a cold crisp day and we saw various species of birds too. A brilliant place for a lovely walk. Looking forward to doing it again...More

What a fantastic piece of engineering. Caen Hill locks are wonderful to walk along and watch the narrow boats travel up and down through this wonderful lock system.

After a lovely walk up the flight of locks it was really nice to have a cup of coffee and teacake at the very busy cafe. Set in the old lock keepers cottage it has a very small indoor seating area but plenty of spaces...More

I love walking along the canal and the views are outstanding. Do visit, it's well worth a trip. A great place for walking out with family and friends and, I think it's romantic for couples too.
