We recently spent several enjoyable hours at the Jimmy Stewart Museum. The pictures and memorabilia displayed were great. I enjoyed seeing the photos of the inside of Mr. Stewart's home as well as the many photos of him with other big stars. We were not able to take photos of the exhibits, but we did get a picture with Harvey... More

A must see is the Jimmy Stewart Museum, where you see Jimmy's humble beginnings in Indiana, Pennsylvania. The museum has everything from Hollywood memorabilia including Jimmy Stewart's Oscar that was on display in his father's hardware store downtown.

This museum is just delightful, probably because it is about a delightful individual. The museum takes you through Jimmie Stewarts entire life and filmography. I had no idea he was in so many westerns. He is in the Cowboy Hall of Fame! The displays are very home townie with lots of memorabilia and great stories about Jimmie. And, on top... More

This is a cute museum in a cute town. It has quite a lot of information, not just about Stewart's life but also the history of the region and how Indiana came to be. It also does not whitewash the fact that Native Americans lived there long before Europeans arrived and how badly they were treated. There are a great... More

For us, this museum was a little disappointing. It highlights Jimmy Stewart’s life which is interesting, but the exhibits are showing their age and there’s quite a bit of reading. Also, the museum does not allow photos to be taken. Probably because of camera flash, but most cameras and cell phones don’t use flash anymore. A tad overpriced for the... More

We love Jimmy Stewart and it was awesome to learn that he was as fine a person as we believed. The curators truly love Jimmy and awe filled with little stories about him and his life and family. His family and ancestors were honorable, hard working and highly intelligent. His movies and his life was truly wonderful. It was a... More

On that crisp fall Sunday, September 25 I spent a short amount of time at this facility. I tired of the displays and the stuffy atmosphere. I quickly exited and much enjoyed just sauntering Philadelphia Street, and the leafy campus of Indiana University. The university library is open on Sundays--it was interesting chatting with the friendly staff and students.

The museum is in downtown Indiana, PA and not far (walking distance) from the college campus. There is a small admission fee and to see the entire museum for a casual fan of Jimmy Stewart takes about an hour. Original items are in limited quantity with most displays being reprints, photographs, etc. It's clear the community really loves their hometown... More

A group of us attending a class reunion visited the Jimmy Stewart museum. What a treat! My personal expectation was not very great and I was pleasantly surprised by the extent of the displays, the information provided and the large number of display items. James M. Stewart is probably Indiana's more revered son, and the museum helps you to understand... More
