This is a great place to visit if you are in the area. Lots of interesting things to see. My teenage children and my elderly father all enjoyed Hartlebury.

Easy to find & staff v friendly & helpful. Gypsy caravans & carriages well displayed .The museum is excellent - just goes on & on with something to interest everyone. The internal room sets are lovely - everything well displayed. We went on a cold wet day & were almost the only people there which meant we spent about 3... More

Sadly, we cannot recommend this attraction, because it was closed. Before setting out on the journey (30 minutes each way), on Tuesday the 3rd January 2017, we consulted the official 'Hartlebury Castle January - May 2017' brochure, and it was totally clear that it was going to be open everyTuesday. We arrived to find it was closed. There was no... More

Dear Colin, may we offer our sincere apologies for the confusion. The museum is always closed for the first week of January for essential cleaning and maintenance. This was stated on 'Your Visit' page of our website, but not on the downloadable leaflet. We are very sorry that you had a wasted journey. If you are still in the area... More

Staff very helpful. You could opt for a guided tour but I prefers to go at my own pace. Lots of info to read and a hand held audio device to use on the way round. Lovely cakes from the tearoom to enjoy in or outside. The priest holes were fascinating I felt I was a child in an episode... More

Been here a couple of times now. Took the guided tour which was well worth the money. Fascinating history to this place and they tell it so we'll. Gardens very pleasant as is the Cafe. Even if you haven't a particular interest in History, it's worth a visit just for the surroundings. I will always return from time to time... More

Visited here yesterday with my own three children (6, 3, 1) and a friend with her two (6, 4), what a fantastic time we all had! It may not look like the most traditional of castles but there's plenty to see and do. The children were kept entertained with making crowns and swords (which they wore all day), took part... More
