We love love the Severn Valley and have been on it many times before, however this is our first (and very much last) scenic evening trip, with optional fish and chips. First of all when you go on the Severn Valley you expect to be pulled by a steam train and not a diesel engine. You can smell and taste... More

The railway is well preserved, the trains are clean and comfy, the steam engines look amazing and the staff are friendly. The journey goes through some beautiful parts of the English countryside. The only reason for a 3 star rating not a 5 star rating was the prices at The Engine House cafe at their Highley Station. £2.79 for a... More

Took the evening trip from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth. Its 1.20 hour each way. Trains were dusty and it was freezing. There was no heat whatsoever. First and last visit.

Bridgnorth is a lovely town and a grand place to visit by it's own merits, but it is the North end of the wonderful, delightful Severn Valley Railway. It's a smashing place to start as you can see steam locomotives in the yard from the footbridge, and if lucky, see them shunting stuff (and each other) about. The journey down... More

Great day out for all the family. Passes part of the West Midland Safari Park, so not only beautiful scenery but caught a glimpse of some hippos as well. Wonderful to be able to have a coffee and watch the world go by.

We had a great day out travelling on the Severn Valley Railway. The railway museum at Highley brilliant - so well laid out and informative. The railway itself is great fun. There is plenty to see and do and worth the money.

My and my family love watching the trains go by and on several occasions have visited the stations and seen the trains go past. I have also rode the length from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth with my dad. The trip is wonderful, you quickly leave kidderminster and emerge into the gorgeous landscape of the Severn Valley. You even pass the Safari... More

Brilliant scenic railway. Train journey from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth passes through beautiful countryside and follows the River Severn in places. The train passes the Safari Park and a good view of the animals can seen. On the day of my visit several Steam Locomotives were running depicting different classes of Engine. Choose a Steam Day and you will not be... More

A wonderful day out was had by all- a family of 4 adults. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and found the exhibits most interesting and well presented, The old time equipment, signs and kit brought back many pleasant memories. A most nostalgic trip -including the ;'puffing billy' worth a full days time, and in good warm weather even better.

Visited last Monday for a day out. £3 to park and 2 adults and a child was £50 so not the cheapest but well worth it. First train from Kidderminster was 9:30, with the last one arriving back at 6pm so you could have a full day out. The trains were superb, we managed to get an old fashioned carriage... More
