Wide selection of very well kept beer. Bar staff are knowledgeable and the atmosphere is very welcoming. And a plus for me is the beautiful and friendly ginger cat that likes to sit by the bar.

I've been in the Brewery a number of times. This isn't a pretentious wine bar; it's more of the place that people go to meet up with friends, have a chat and sample different beers. It's the kind of place where you are encouraged to...More

Great selection of drinks, whatever your tipple! The beer menu perfectly describes the choice and tastes of beers...go on, try something different! Cool place, although some of the bar staff could do with smiling more and welcoming new people!

This was the first stop on our pies and a pint trip on the East Lancashire Railway. What a great start.. Loved the Tin Plate dark mild and the Marshmallow Unicorn stout. I'm planning a return trip already.

You simply cannot go wrong here. Give it a go and you will not regret it! A fine selection of ales, regular live music slots and a generally great atmosphere, the Works Brewery gets it spot on.

Don’t let the name of the breweries pale ale “Mad Dogs and Englishmen” put you off from visiting. The brewery tap literally sits on top of the brewery itself. Both the bar and outside veranda are reached by a flight of stairs. The bar provides...More

Been here a few times. Whilst the craft beer is not my local favourite it is exceptionally quaffable and the staff are patient and friendly with new comers trying to pick a preferred ale.More

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to submit a review of our little bar. We try to brew beers that will suit most tastes however, this is not always possible with the huge array of good ales out there. I am pleased you...More
