The activity centre sells great snacks and drinks food basic but good and very reasonably priced. The park itself is a great place to stroll among industry ruins and riverside walks .There are statues of troll to find in the woods and lots of quiet places to sit watch the world and river ho by wild flowers meadows in summer... Went with parents and children, outdoor adventure suitable for fairly active people. Great views of the lake and countryside. A must for photographers. I have been to burrs park several times now and always fine something different to see and do plus there is lots of wild live to photograph and watch also two good pubs to have a fine lunch if you like that sought of thing I only live three miles from the park but still find time to enjoy my... We stayed at the Caravan Club site and booked our 2 grandchildren in for a days activity . Their instructor was Brett, really highly recommended, challenged the more able, and paced the activities well. he had a really good rapport with the children without losing authority. they really enjoyed it. We stayed at Burrs Country Park and had pre booked my 13 year old granddaughter and 10 year great nephew for kayaking, canal crossing, archery & outside wall climbing. The activity centre is part of the Burrs Country Park a mile or so north of central Bury. Now located in restored stone factory buildings it provides kayaking, orienteering and wall climbing facilities, with a bunkhouse accommodation. its a very nice venue, bunk beds full catering available in house. They have a little cafe for light lunches and about 25yards away there is the Brown Cow pub, good food and beer and no driving

Lots to see and lots for the kids to do, from canoeing to climbing the wall, and there is a pub there which serves good food

Made the most of the late summer sunshine with a afternoon at Burrs. Lovely walk with stunning scenery for us all to enjoy and a park for the kids to run around on after the walk , All finished off with a nice pint in the brown cow whist the kids palyed football and on the climbing frames

Lovely down at the burrs nice walks brown cow pub nIce to sit outside in summer nice food .great if you love the outdoors nice caravan and camping site close to bury town centre were you will find the great out door market.
