We are regular visitors here. Lovely walk around to ground with regular hides to stop and watch the wildlife. A nice walk and a nice place to take children to experience a bit of nature. Café it lovely and serves a lovely hot chocolate. Parking is ample.

Plenty to see here, from water birds to small birds. Pleasant walking around the reserve but some of the most attractive birds can be seen close to the entrance. On our last visit we saw a reed bunting, normally an elusive bird. Greenfinches, goldfinches, bullfinches. Nothing like the variety we saw on our previous visit but I put that down to... More

RSPB Old moor is a lovely hidden gem, it is a lovely place, different hides and activities. We took loads of photo's of loads of different species of birds. They have a café overlooking everything. Lovely place will definitely be going back again as I am a RSPB member

Great place to enjoy with the family! Lots to do for children, especially in school holidays. Though sometimes you need to book so best checking on the website or ringing up. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable and really patient with the kids.

I recently visited the RSPB wetlands and found a tranquil oasis set within the old coalfields regeneration area. The level of inhabitants is enthralling as this gem is on our doorstep and very reasonable too. What a great place to visit and great walks.

RSPB Old Moor is perfect for families with young children. There is a nice play park, pond dipping, hides and activities to complete in the classroom. We go a few times a year and enjoy an entire day and picnic there.
