Followed the signs to the 'public viewing area' and the final destination was a small car park with a dozen or so spaces. The view is through chain link fencing at the end of the airfield. Because of the position of the viewing area, when...More

The viewing are was just a car park looking through some chain link fencing - a bit disappointing really, no other facilities or even a shop.

We visited to see the Eurofighters that were stationed at Culdrose for a week. We also got to see Hawks and SeaKings too. It's a great spot, and almost feels like you're on the base - you can clearly see the pilots in the cockpit...More

We visited on a Friday afternoon at about 16.00 hours and there was no activity so we assumed things must have been on rundown for the weekend. It would however proide a good viewing area if there was aircraft activity.

It's great to see all the helicopters going in and out of RNAS Culdrose. Unfortunately the day we visited the viewing area it was quite damp and misty so no flying, but would go back if in the area again.
