A smaller Nt property with a great personality

Lovely spot for a walk around this most attractive location. There is a house and garden, but check on access. Bring dogs or children.

I have just read the review from a member of the public who reports that he was deliberately overcharged. This I am sure is very far from the truth. The majority of the people who work at Godolphin are volunteers who give up their time to help the National Trust. I myself work in the tea room and also from... More

It has been restored but wasn't that interesting and did give a small insight in to their way of life. The gardens still need some work

This Godolfin House is quite pretty but besides that it is somewhat underwhelming. Some pictures placed on the internet make it look very grand. It is in fact rather small. That aside, the gardens are quite attractive and we enjoyed our walk in them. I am however very unhappy about the fact that I was overcharged on entry. Deliberately in... More

I took a stroll to the top of Godolphin hill and was surprise how far you can see. There is a conviniently place rock on the top to sit on and gaze across the sea. There is so much history, who knew it was all in Cornwall! When I got back I had a wonderful cup of tea and cake... More

We had read the reviews and were very keen to visit Godolphin House and Gardens. We are a family of 5 (plus dog) and did the Godolphin Hill walk. It was pretty easy but not particularly interesting - rather moor-like - and I don't think you get quite high enough to have spectacular views. Maybe it was just too grey... More

We visited last weekend aa a family of four with two dogs. There were a lot of renovation works going on but this didn't spoil our fun! We enjoyed the bat activities and the children thought the bat camera was fascinating. The lady and gentlemen we met on reception were so friendly and helpful - even offered us umbrellas to... More

This is a beautiful house together with lovely stone outbuildings. The house is stunning with all its nooks and crannies. Steeped in history and I believe the original Poldark was filmed here. A very calm and relaxing property. The farm yard and outbuildings are fascinating to see and you can imagine the animals and people of yesteryear living and working... More

One of the most atmospheric settings in the country. A delightful place to roam around. The interior of the house is only open on certain dates so I made sure I timed my visit so that I could get in. It was interesting but felt a bit soulless, unlike the outside which is wonderful. A DVD explained that the NT... More
