As Cornwall was known for it's Tom mining industry we decided to visit the Trevor tin mine. It was a very misty day which added to the atmosphere. It was really interesting to see how the mine used to operate and hear from the guides...More

Would love to rate this higher as we really enjoyed our trip but it’s an expensive visit and won’t appeal to everyone. If you’re prepared to read through the exhibits and take your time on each section, you will definitely learn about mining over a...More

This is our second visit this year absolutely love this place and would highly recommend it. The fact that most of the staff were ex miners from Geevor so if you take time to speak to them so have great stories. I love it here...More

This is a great day out. There is a tour of an old mine which has restricted head room and can be very narrow but the tour is great.

We weren’t sure if we should opt for Geevor mine or Poldark. However, a local recommended Geevor. We enjoyed the day, and preferred that the tour wasn’t set times. Most of the guides are ex miners which gives authenticity to the mine. Very educational in...More

I only visited Geevor and the tour has been described perfectly already. I agree with Neil that your daughter will be fine here and you'll all enjoy your visit

If you only have time for one I would recommend Geevor but they are so close to each other, only around a ten minute walk along the coast, it is easy to do both in one visit.

We were there about 3 and a half hours, lots to read and look at, the highlight was the trip down the mine which took up at least an hour.
