I took a trip to Redruth again today to notice several new and interesting shops at the top and bottom of the hill. Modern and alternative. Just what we need to inject some life and interest in to the town.

Liking the rabbit statues and the one of the miner. The town has a variety of eating places and shops up for grabs.

We visited today, the high street is one long steep hill, filled with banks and charity shops. If you are disabled or have walking issues then it's not for you. The council need to take a look at this village and make some changes.

I find it very difficult to say anything positive about Redruth Town Centre sadly! That's not quite right. I have to mention the one solitary cafe in Redruth who allowed me and my little dog to go inside...so thank you to Bystro. Your coffee tasted particularly good after the torture me and the aforementioned small dog had to endure after... More

Visited there after getting a leaflet showing different places of interest. We walked from one place to another following the map and were very disappointed with what we saw. Parking was expensive and the town was dirty.

This should be a thriving little town, but it's full of banks and charity shops. The council is so greedy and charges so much for parking, no one wants to go there as it costs too much. The town centre should be beautiful. It's very Cornish and an ancient market town. Some of the architecture is magnificent, but very difficult... More

Now this should be a prized little town, full of history, with a good historical centre, a lovely railway stn, and good Cornish folk, but with every visit, we see it crumbling into just another nondescript impoverished former notable location. The locals look depressed, and the shopfront rents are obviously not affordable enough to banish the dreaded boarding up of... More

Redruth is an old mining town, plenty of Granite buildings, main street on a hill. PARKING IS A NIGHTMARE. The town carparks require you to put your car registration number in, and there a camera's to check you in and out to see that you have paid, so you cannot just sit in your car while the wife does a... The main streets of Redruth have the best pavements in Cornwall. There is inexpensive parking behind Wilko. A fine selection of charity shops greets the visitor, along with a good cinema, cafes, and antiques.
