We only went to the brewery shop this time, have joined brewery tours before. Something really positive has happened to this brewery. Nowadays you can find a wide range of really interresting beers here, together with classics like Tribute. They've got everyting from Session IPAs...More

We stopped by St. Austell's on the way to St. Ives. A very nice place with helpful staff. It's filled with information about the brewery and its history. A nice place to spend the afternoon.

Had a great couple of hours learning about the history of the brewery from the really enthusiastic staff. Everyone was welcoming and chatty, and knows a lot about what they do. And the tasting session at the end of the tour was great.

We visited by train from Lostwithiel on a rainy February day and had a brilliant visit. Met in the shop by a lovely lady who explained how everything worked, got £2 (I think) off our tickets for arriving by train which was a nice surprise....More

There is a nice restaurant inside and families were having lunch so I imagine it's fine for kids since they won't be offered any alcoholic beverages to drink. You can checkout their website for further information:

I believe there was a handicapped ramp out front that takes you inside to the store and to purchase tickets for the tour. Restrooms are down a narrow hallway so don't think adequate space for a wheelchair or scooter. I... More

Probably not as in my tour group 2 people had walking sticks and 1 of those sat out part of the tour.
