A lovely way to spend the afternoon. The gardens are lovely and are well worth a visit. However, it would be better if there where toilets and a small cafe at bottom near the ponds. The routes around the gardens are well signed. There really...More

Don’t be fooled by the pictures on line. It cost us £30. For 2 adults to walk through a wood with very steep hills. The gardens were not very attractive either. Waste of time and money

Great history and interpretation of the garden renovations and lovely to walk through the gardens and the woods with the dogs, who particularly enjoyed interacting with the farm animals and wildlife. Had been meaning to visit for a while and will certainly return.

Thanks for coming to see us and for your lovely review of the gardens. Although we haven’t found any dinosaurs, it isn’t to say that there aren’t any lurking in the undergrowth! We really hope to see you again soon.

We can expect up to 3000 people per day in the summer however due to the sheer size of the estate (200 acres) it never feels too busy and you'll always find your own little spot.

With over 200 acres to explore, we recommend setting aside between three and four hours to get a really good taste of the gardens and estate. You could easily spend a full day here though.
