A lovely garden and woodland walks. Very hilly but worth the walk. I'd recommend arriving early, as we arrived 25 mins after opening and got the last space in the overflow car park, and that was on a Wednesday in term time! It rained quite...More

Visited these gardens after not quite getting there fo some years. Very busy for a day in September. Too much to take in in one visit. Whole thing bears testament to the people who have re-discovered and opened it up. A must do if in...More

What can I say? Some beautiful walled gardens, a lush jungle environment area, a few farm animals (complete with piglets) and long wooded walks; all with a little interesting history behind it. An all round great experience. Just be aware that most of the estate...More

Was a lot more than we expected. Interesting gardens, history, walks and more. A good day out. Weather needs to be dry to make the most of it. Would definitely visit again.

We visited the gardens in July with our two young children. They loved the troll head and the wooden adventure walkways to climb along the way. There is so much to see and lots of different types of walkway to explore - there were teepees...More

Best part is "the jungle" otherwise found the rest very average and didn't really enjoy the food outlets. We are in our 20's and national trust members and i think you get better value for money at their properties than here as it cost us...More
