We didn't stay long here as we had a long days driving and the cafe was shut but the staff in the visitors centre were extremely friendly and helpful and gave us very useful information for the rest of our road trip from Brisbane to Adelaide. Thanks!

Instead we spent time int he shop and absorbed the atmosphere there. Some good books on sale and lots of nick... More

The saying Back of Bourke is synonymous with growing up in Australia so when visiting this town a visit to this exhibition is virtually compulsory. The exhibition itself is very well done and gives you a good sense of the early history of the region.

This centre was not here when I last came through Bourke five years ago, or I didn't see it signposted, so we thought we would check it out. When we got there it just looked like many other Tourist Information Centres but then we were asked if we wanted to buy tickets for the exhibition. We were glad that we... More

We called in to the Bourke Visitor Information Centre twice this week. Both times the woman helping us was so enthusiastic, well informed and friendly that we were quite convinced that Bourke was worth yet another look! The Back o'Bourke Exhibition was beautifully presented and jam packed with information...you really do need the two day ticket to absorb it all.... More

Beautifuuly presented, with so much to take in it took a couple of hours. Quite a good cafe on-site. A "must" for any visitor to Bourke.

The staff were just so wonderful, friendly and helpful. Advice is to make this your first point of contact before doing anything in Bourke to get ALL the great information that you will need to not a miss a thing in this wonderful place.
