Nelson is one of the quieter beaches in Jervis Bay. It has spectacular white sand and often has enough room to spread out with the family, as well as gentle waves for swimming and paddling. The beach runs from Plantation Point reserve in the north to Blenheim Beach in the south and forms part of the White Sands Walk which takes you to Hyams Beach.

I spoil myself a couple of days a week by visiting Nelson Beach. Set yourself down on soft white sand, some days the navy are doing their exercises. It good to watch the frigates and helicopters in the distance. Plus I am lucky to spot...More

Our nearest beach, used by locals to walk their dogs. Sounds bad? No, the locals are friendly, if you are, and the dogs are very well-behaved. There's loads of wildlife and stunning sunrises and sunsets.

We stayed a short distance from this beach. Was fun watching all the dogs run about and swim in the evening. Good parking, grassy area nearby for picnics.

Our dog loved this beach! It's off leash for dogs after 4pm and it's great to have a run around up and down the awesome sand with the dog! The water was clean and the waves were small enough to have a safe swim in.
