Great Museum

Very well presented museum. The building is huge and a lot of effort has gone into presenting Junee's history in a simple but effective way.

Displays of the history of Junee and ONLY Junee. Situated on The Broadway in what was once the Broadway Hotel until 2000 when the license was sold to Olympic Park in Sydney. Much of our towns history is covered, including the importance of the railway to the town. Models have been made of the famous spiral at Bethungra, which was... More

Enter through a door that closes itself and the journey begins. So much to see, well documented and easily accessible. Chair lift to get upstairs and don't forget to go out the back to see some great memorabilia of times gone by. Mum found school photos from 1935 and the staff were very helpful. Finish off with a cup of... More

Wow - what a great attraction - a Museum in the many rooms of a historic hotel! The entry is through the rather glamorous bar room with a cafe facility. The displays are all locally based , clean and well labelled. The view of the town from the upstairs front verandah is magnificent.

We were met at the door by a senior gentleman who is a font of knowledge about the exhibits here. This is a BIG building with exhibits downstairs and up and also in the yard. All rooms were kept clean and tidy as if the residents were still living here. I highly recommend this museum.

This another place we usually call into to have a meal when passing thriugh Junee. The food is good home style food and the staff are always pleasant and helpful. The added advantage for first tmiers is the Museum which is adjacent with a very good collection fo Junee's past history

Set in a old 2 storey pub , this museum and a lot of excellent exhibits of local history. Well worth the stop and spend a hour or so looking over the displays. The volunteers are wonderful and super friendly and informative with any information you may ask. Really good place . Highly recommended.
