The walking trails around Lord Howe Island are well maintained and offer excellent views of the magnificent scenery this piece of paradise has to offer.

There are numerous walks on Lord Howe Island - far to many to mentioned here. We have done everyone and enjoyed them all. There is something different to see every time. Some walks are quite physical and others are pleasurable.

We wanted to thank Sam and Ron our marriage celebrants. The organization was made from germany with emails first. After the first contact we received the marriage certificate and all the information we needed. On Lord Howe we had a little island tour with Sam and Ron to find the perfect spot for the big day. Of course we decided... More

As not very active 60/70 year olds we found a good walk for every day. It was easy to decide that Mt Gower climb was beyond our capabilities but Intermediate Hill, Transit Hill, Malabar Peak pushed us, but we were glad we continued the uphill climb. Little Island walk is flat and beautiful.

One walk that stands out in my mind is the one starting at Settlement Beach to North Beach/Old Gulch, Kim's Lookout, Malabar and finishing at Ned's Beach. It afforded the most... More

We went to Lord Howe expecting great water-based activities (swimming, snorkelling, sea kayaking, diving) but were very impressed with the network of walking trails. Every day we headed out to explore. Too many for a week, so we'll have to go back and do more. With the island's mild climate the walks were comfortable even in mid summer, and many... More

We are in our 50s and of average fitness, and did two of the more reasonable walks during our stay. Both highly recommended. Be prepared - both walks require good walking shoes, plenty of water and some fruit or snacks to have along the way. I wouldn't attempt either if during or after heavy rain due to the amount of...
