Merimbula Marina is a small family owned business. Our passion is whale watching and for 8 months of the year this is what we do. May to August during the Norther Migration of the wonderful humpback whales we operate cruises out of Darling Harbour Sydney. And then for the Southern Migration from September to December we run daily cruises from Merimbula on the NSW South Coast. The Southern Migration from Merimbula is our favourite time of the year as so many whales pass close to the shore and the whale watching is sensational!Outside of the whale season we operate Scenic Dolphin Cruises December to August. These cruises are a wonderful way to see the spectacular Sapphire Coast from the water and regularly sight a variety of marine life.We also operate fishing charters year round from Merimbula. We have daily 5hr Reef Fishing Charters, 3hr Family Fishing during school holidays and during the Game Fishing Season we operate 8hr Game Fishing Charters. Private Charters can also be organised by contacting our office.

Great insight into the coastal strip. This small speedboat is great value over a 2 hour trip. We got to see a large pod of black dolphins with calves close up alongside the boat. We had 8 on board which made it very comfortable for all to spread around. Bring your camera and take some sea sick tablets if you... More

We did the afternoon two hour cruise on the smaller speedboat and it was fantastic. Covered a big area and the driver was really good giving a great commentary all the way and pointing out some good local sites to visits. We've been to Merimbula a few times and he suggested a few places worth going to which we had... More

We boarded the Catamaran (presume that is what it is) twice. Once with sea sickness secondly drugged up. It was a magnificent experience for my son James to catch 4 Flatheads and to learn how to fish properly. He is certainly inspired for more. thanks again Merimbula Marina.

We had two experiences with Merimbula Marina. First was the BBQ cruise which was really relaxed and interesting. We learnt about the coastal area, ate a yummy lunch and saw HEAPS of dolphins. A couple of days later we went on the ocean adventure tour and it was also really fantastic. In a smaller, faster boat, we got to see... More

2 hour cruise. A great experience from start to finish, friendly and happy service, lovely barbecue on board, amazing views. And topped off by a pod of dolphins that stayed with the boat for half an hour. Thoroughly recommended.

Two hours of fun on the cruise with lunch provided. We enjoyed every minute of it. The owners kindly accepted our request to provide BBQ fish instead of sausages. The boat was comfortable and the sailing was smooth. Will recommend for holiday fun with the family.

Went In November so saw only 1 whale and calf but dolphins enhanced the experience. Really impressed by the skipper who worked so hard to make the trip interesting and rewarding. He really earned his money and was well informed, sensitive to the whales and a great advocate for Merimbula.

The title of our review are the words that my husband said and grumbled about us going. The day dawned, drizzle that looked more like mist. We boarded the "Cat" and away we went. We spotted many 'blows' in the distance and many whale 'footsteps', the tail flops and the fin waving was great. By this time my husband had... More

Staff were very friendly and we were fortunate enough to see dolphins and whales despite the closed whale season. Would definitely do it again!

My husband and I did a whale watching trip on the Explorer boat the first weekend in November. It was a wonderful experience seeing the whales so close. We saw a few pods of whales with calves and had one very active calf and mother who hung around the boat with us. The crew were very knowledgeable on the whales... More
