Thredbo location is beautiful, and there was a little snow remaining at the top of the mountains. Parking is extremely difficult, and it is crowded. Limited selection when it comes to food.

Thredbo village itself whilst in a beautiful setting is all about getting your cash, gets over crowded and a victim of it's own popularity when it comes to parking. It is like a small Sydney Eastern Suburbs enclave in the Australian Alps, complete with over priced average coffee. Park up and head straight to the ski lift.

We have 5 people and one young child in our company. Staying here for 3D2N, we experienced wonderful ime together; there was mountain walking trails for hikers, mountain bike path for cyclers, leisure center with warm water swimming pool and playground for children. Pace of life is quite slow here but time of happiness passes so quickly. Have a good... More

We choose Thredbo for our anniversary weekend away with our daughter. This place is beautiful during the summer months. Awesome atmosphere whilst we were there. The interschool mountain bike challenge was on and there was a huge buzz. Will definitely come back again to try mountain biking and walk the summit.

This was a summer visit to what is essentially a winter ski village. But the village itself is a delight to walk around, and the activities on offer even off season make it a very attractive option. Like any ski resort worldwide it is not cheap, but it still represents good value for money.

Thredbo is great in summer for bush walking and being outdoors. If you want shopping, don't bother! There are your basics, paper shop (good), chemist (excellent) and supermarket (small but ok range, but be wary of shop hours). Can get coffee in mornings from various places, but don't try after lunch. Although we didn't go there this visit, the pool/gym... More

The village is compact, but seems to offer a good range of accommodation. In summer a number of the businesses were closed, but there was still plenty open to make it a good holiday location. It is the starting point for a number of walks of varying degrees of difficulty.

Went into the National Park to go and have a look at Thredbo on the recommendation of the information centre in Cooma. They said it a pretty little village and worth a visit. We had to pay $17 to drive into the park and onto Thredbo. Whilst i understand it is a ski resort, there was absolutely nothing there except... More

Wow such an amazing place to stay, the Hotel was so luxurious and beautiful, breakfast was the best, and loved the chairlift ride and walked to the summit Mt. Kosciuszko. Definitely beautiful surrounds and lovely staff.

I love the high country in summer and highly recommend a stay at Thredbo if you're active and want something different to a beach holiday. You don't need to be a skier to appreciate village life at Thredbo and the surrounding national park. We've just returned from a fun week at Thredbo with extended family, staying January 13-20 in a... More
