We travelled to Timbertown today with our young children and had a great time. Spend some time with the staff and you will have a ball. (The lady at the front counter can do a little more though, a big happy welcome and goodbye would be great!) They all work really hard and will do anything for you. Craig the... More

This is one of Australia's premier time travel attractions. Go back in time and experience the activity's of our early settlers. Worth checking if the Bullock handler is there and what other additional activities are on for your trip.

First visit to Timbertown for years, slightly run down but what a wonderful day, after entering the park we were greeted by the bullock driver on a Penny Farthing who explained where everything was and how to fit things in. The bullock show was entertaining and interesting , our two grandchildren loved all the rides plus the playground and found... More

We were originally unsure whether to go here for our sons 10th birthday as it looked a bit run down from the outside. We did and all had a superb time. All the staff were very friendly. The steam train was great as were the bullocks. My son and 8 year old daughter were particularly captivated by the the blacksmith.... More

When we arrived we did not get a very welcome reception. The lady was very rude and not friendly at all. The rest of the day was lovely, the staff were very friendly and the layout was great. The boys loved all the rides and museum houses, they especially loved the woodwork's building where they could play with the puzzles... More

I enjoyed Timbertown far more then I expected. We had time to kill waiting for our accommodation in Port Macquarie so decided to visit and were pleasantly surprised by the range of thins to see and do. Whip cracking? Hadn't cracked a whip for 50 years and forgot how much fun it was. The kids visiting and trying this also... More

Went here as a kid in the 70's, and took my 9 year old this week. Brilliant. At first you think "daggy", but do all the things here and you will have a great day. Allow about 2-3 hours, and do the mini railway (runs 9:30-10:30 only), steam train (runs every hour from 11am), horse and cart ride (9:30-11:00), and... More

Timbertown was such a great place to visit. The staff are so friendly, especially the Bullock Driver. We panned for gold, rode in an old steam train and had a glimpse of what life must have been like for our ancestors, can't wait to go back

Would like to see some of the old things preserved and restored. Maybe TAFE could get on board and help them out?? Roofs needed cleaning before they rust out - just full of leaves. That said the attractions and shows were very interesting and the school kids that arrived seem to be have a great time. Loved the ride on... More
