We stopped by for about thirty minutes and viewed the exhibits. The Mennonite history and differences from the Amish were explained. Two films were available to watch for a fee. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Booked a personal car guide for two hours around the local Amish area. Easy booking over the phone, well organised and efficient. Our guide was excellent, very informative and tailored our tour to suit our interests.

Make sure to watch the movie also. This was a great way to learn more about the mennonite and amish ways. Stop here before going to other tour sites or shopping

Stopping here was a great decision. We learned a lot about the ways of the Mennonites. The movie was very informative. The gift shop was relatively reasonably priced.

No, the Mennonite Information Center does not offer ancestry services. The building beside them houses the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society, and they have resources for doing ancestry research.

The guide will advise you when you can take photos and when you can't. The Amish don't approve of photos of themselves, but if you are far enough away it might be all right.
