Wheatland is in Lancaster, PA. It is in a residential area but yet secluded due to the size of the property. It is easy to find, especially with a GPS. There is amply parking in the rear of the house. The visitors center is a...More

An impression, for James Buchanan, arguably the most qualified person to be elected President, and maybe the lowest rated President, lived here before his presidency and after the White House, until his death in 1868. Our docent was knowledgeable and very informative. This well preserved...More

We hoped to learn about the President and his life and his time in the White House with his achievements/lack of them. Instead all you have is a tour of the house he lived in before and after his presidency which is not what we...More

I took a date to this fine site a few weeks ago. As a Pennsylvania native, there are not a lot of United States Presidents that we can fully claim as our own. Ben Franklin was not a President, Dwight Eisenhower WAS a President and...More

I prefer not to use Pay Pal so if I check open tour spots, and then come over (I'm local) well ahead of the tour time, can I buy 2 tickets there. Would have booked but we had previous problems with Pay Pal so we won't use them.

What days are they open and what hours between now and the end of December. How much are the tickets and can you get them there? Is there a restaurant or café? Also, are their places to sit during the tour for older people?
