I had out of town company for the Thanksgiving holiday. I was excited to show her the famous Lancaster Central Market. So many various foods and goods to purchase. So proud to be able to enjoy this weekly.

I recently moved to the area from the UK and a new friend took me to central market on Tuesday. I absolutely loved it! Apparently it was unusually quiet that day so we could take our time looking around. The food looked (and tasted) delicious. There is a big variety of options from local food to Thai/ Middle- Eastern/ German... More

I have been going to this market for over 20 years. The produce is fresh and local. Lots of tasty things to eat while you are there and to take home with you. Public restrooms and tables to sit and eat. Lots of cheese, fresh meats, seafood, and some of my favorite are the soft pretzels.

This is a great market with lots of fresh produce, meat, baked good, teas & spices, flowers, candy and lots more. Good to come hungry as there are lots of items to eat. We have been here before but this time we found a booth where they sell Bacon Carmel Brittle and yes, it is as good as it sounds.

Great market for fresh meat, produce, eggs, milk, flowers, bread, organic foods and baked goods. Crowded narrow aisles makes navigating this market a little difficult. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Prices varied greatly from 1 stand to the next.

Always an enjoyable time picking out fresh veggies, loose leaf tea, spices, and herbs. The kids enjoy the pastries and Lancaster Coffee has a Wonder selection.

Hate to be too critical because the vendors and their products are excellent. The building is historically significant and very interesting. But the location and access are too problematic to make this a regular destination for us. Downtown traffic and limited paid parking. Depending on where you find a lot with a vacancy, a healthy walk to get there. Inside... More
