This is located at the Mennonite Information Center on Route 30 in Lancaster. There is information and displays about the local culture and the Mennonite and Amish faiths. There is also a reproduction of the Biblical Tabernacle the Israelites transported in the wilderness. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the tabernacle and how it was transported... More

Elsie was our guide, and her enthusiasm was contagious. She did a wonderful job of bringing the tabernacle to life. There is also lots of good info about the difference between the Amish and Mennonites. It's also centrally located near other attractions, so it's definitely worth popping in for a visit.

This is good but for a more mature crowd or for persons studying about the early Christian or Jewish religion. My children could not wait for it to be over.

This is the second time we have visited the Tabernacle. Each time I learn something new. Our tour guide Nancy was very good. She made the story really come to life. Great history lesson!

The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the tabernacle. The information and actual scale reproduction helped really visualize what it was like a long time ago. Located inside the Mennonite Information Center. Tours seem to be about once an hour on the hour.
