Traveling through the state we found we needed a place to camp since we wanted to see Hershey chocolate world and Gettysburg. We came upon this park. Beautifully laid out...Lots of sites. The new sites they are putting in will have full hookups. Ours only had electric and water which was fine by us. The bathrooms were nice, clean.

Because rivers were high from Friday's rain, we settled for paddling on the lake at Gifford-Pinchot State Park. Bought launch permits on-line. Put it was great and convenient with a clean, heated restroom open. It was early in the season. Fortunately the wind held off, so even though it was cool & cloudy we were able to paddle most of... Every since I was a little girl I have been coming to Pinchot with the men I love! First on a yearly fishing/camping trip with my Dad, such awesome memories! One year I caught over 120 Sunnies in ONE morning, no lie! I think it must have been the same batch of Sunnies caught over and over again as we... More

We went for a short vacation to attend the Great American Outdoor show in Harrisburg. We almost always vacation in Pa state park cabins because you can't beat the price. Hot roomy shower, comfy beds, fully functioning kitchen - great time away with my spouse! The staff at the park office were pleasant and helpful, as well.

Have come here to fish with family and friends many time over the years. The trails are great for walkers or hikers, well laid out and easy to travel on. Decent camp sites many with lake access.

The lake had a lot of Moss in it so made it hard to catch anything. Plus there was no picnic tables around boat dock #1 so people was having to sit on the ground. The manager said that they would not put any there because the are afraid that they would get thrown in the lake. All they have... More

Gifford Pinchot is a picturesque state park with large lake and hiking trails. The park is generally on level ground so the hiking is no strenuous. Good place to bring the family for a picnic or some basic camping.

We went in October for a 3 day trip. Rented a modern cabin. Cabins are close to the lake and you can see the lake from the deck. Off season this is a quiet place to unwind.

My family and friends have been visiting Pinchot Park now for the past 12 years. We camp there every Memorial Day weekend. We have had different tent sites, with our favorite being 120, 129 and 116. These sites are close to the lake, which is great if you have a kayak. Most of the camp sites are big enough and... More
