This is inside of Idlewild Park. The kids loved it, they have slides and even a wave pool. If you visit the park, this is included in the price. The parks is an amusement park geared more so for the very young to middle school age. Coaster, freewheel, bumper cars, kiddieland, plenty of picnic benches and tables. Pavilions are a... More

My husband grew up near Idlewild so he went many times as a child, but I'd never been there. We took our 2 girls, ages 2 & 5 to spend a day this summer. They loved Story Book Forest and seeing all they're favorite fairy tales come to life! We got to see the new castle and meet princess Lily!... More

I use to always come here as a child and had great memories and rode all the rides a bunch of times. Now you come to this amusement park and half the rides are shut down. Very disappointed to see the park I once loved going down the drain. This just wasn't once either this was two years in a... More

Many rides were shut down including one of their water rides on a hot summer day. They set up a hose hooked to a fence beside the ride... The crooked house was shut down due to extreme heat inside. I was there the day an under aged toddler feel off The Racer because they let him ride without an adult... More

This is a charming park. If you visited as a child you'll recognize many parts but there's also lots that's new. It's well maintained, lots of trees for shade. There's no huge asphalt parking lot, you park among the trees and fields.

Very disappointed. Hallaboo event on Oct 23, 2016. Only a few Story Book Forests venues gave out candy to the children. Few rides open. Very pricey admission of $37.99 per person including children, only children 2 and under are free.

We took our two-year old son on a road trip to the Pittsburgh area to visit the many Daniel Tiger/Mister Rogers-related attractions. Idlewild's new Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood trolley ride was one of the main things we knew we had to do while in the area. It did not disappoint, in spite of the long waiting lines for the ride. It... More

This was my family's second year getting the season pass. We went two more times than last year ( one pending with a planned trip to Halloboo) but I felt like we had more fun last year. My 5 and 3 year old daughters were very excited about the new castle and the updates to story book forest, but disappointed... More

Idlewild & Soak Zone is a hidden gem, about an hour and a half from downtown PIttsburgh. It is well worth the ride to visit for a day or two of fun for the whole family. The Soak Zone is a wonderful water park, with some unique attractions, like the pirate's ship, which is a HUGE hit with the children.... More
