I truly enjoyed the visit. It was a French and Indian War British fort, which houses a vast array of artifacts from the war and area. I could have spent a few hours just in the museum part. The fort itself is quite massive and displays a variety of weaponry and building techniques of the period. The staff was pleasant, the prices were reasonable, the gift shop has a lot of neat items, and there is free parking.

Really well done museum. The history which covers the seven year war is panoramic as it also displays what is happening in Europe and even India. However, it is really well displayed and the Fort is great

I was here as a child and brought my grandson, a giant American history enthusiast, to see the fort and museum. It was very hot outside so touring the museum first was planned. Excellent artifacts, explanations and graphics made it as interesting for a seven year old as for me. The recreation of the old fort remains stunning. The grounds are well maintained. The buildings are in good shape and had interesting period items inside. Returning to a standard museum gift shop with A/C was welcomed and the selection had toys, food, books and clothing. Wonderfully educational and friendly atmosphere.

The place is very close to the main road. We easily find it. Plenty of parking. There are picnic tables by the parking lot and in the fort unfortunately none had shade. The visitor center has a very nice exhibit with lots of information. Clean bathrooms in the visitor center. The bathrooms in the fort were closed. Hand sanitizer available. Entrance fee as of June 2020 $12. Fort Ligonier is well taken care of.
