To view these Sights of the Signs is to admirer art at form in a manner you just can't take it. Bigger then life, and done in a way that you study it to figure out what sign it was from. Living in Pa and traveling through most of the eastern half for civil war events, I try to pick... More

This unique project was started several years ago by Allegheny college students for the community outreach program. Very original, using old and used PA road signs.

Unique way of using old road signs! Utilizing old road signs and creating different visual markers displaying local symbols and families sights from Crawford County. Knowledge also that it was created by local college students.

Love this local art! It's done by local students from Allegheny College, made out of old road signs! Constantly being updated, so it's different every time. The scenes depict hot air balloons to stand for the Thurston Classic, Allegheny College, farm scenes to stand for the Crawford County Fair, a train for the Oil Creek Railroad, little oil drillers for... My husband and I actually drive by on accident. The GPS was way off (wish we had read the reviews that stated so first). Alot to take in because of traffic. Too cold to get out and walk. It was really cool to see though. I love seeing waste being repurposed!

I love the sign art along the arterial (322) entering Meadville. Each piece represents something about the area - our farms, our annual hot air balloon races, the college, our fondness for gardens... What a great way to reuse old road signs.

This is truly a work of art done by someone with real talent. Very cool use of old road signs. We just happened to drive by and noticed this, what a huge display. Public works yards are usually an unappealing parking lot of trucks and equipment, this yard is part of an art exhibit!! Someone has vision.

Cool to see, in Meadville don't follow trip advisor address you will end up four miles outside of town and will not be able to find it.

It took a while to realize I was looking at old road signs, when I first saw this display on Route 322 not far from the Meadville, Pennsylvania exit off Interstate 79. The "wall of art" depicting everything from a roller coaster to a hot air balloon is a collaboration between Allegheny College's Center for Economic and Environmental Development and... More
