We were overwhelmed by the constant noise from commercial lawnmowers on site. Tyler needs to cut grass only before opening or after closing when visitors are absent. We posted the same complaint about the NC Arboretum. We were there on a Friday, and left early...More

We are members and go there for events. Our children also enjoy their outdoor camps during the summer. The whole team does a really nice job.

$9.00 for a ticker was overpriced. Nice walking trail but not much more. Staff friendly and talkative about what to look for on a walk.

It is beautiful and multiple trails to take. We had one of our party who balked at some of the more strenuous walks but there was something there for every level. Would have been nice to take our picnic out away from the main building....More

Great way to appreciate nature! Cute treehouses and features for children to explore. We went in the fall and many of the flowering plants were dying but great fall foliage. Not overly crowded. Very relaxing and peaceful to stroll around. There was only 2 bathroom...More

So many trails to choose from, all well-marked. Can also pick up a map in the visitor center. Lots of shade and things to do for the kids--imaginative treehouses, summer camps, weekday outings and activities. They also have an annual plant sale that is wonderful.

For the most part, they are just off the pathway. There are a few that you would need to walk over grass fields to get closer to (like the giant praying mantis and daddy long legs). I hope this helps!
