Mount Gretna is a summer resort with a lake and a summer theater. Each year it has an annual house tour which is usually the first week in August. I had taken the tour maybe 10 years ago. I persuaded my husband to come with me this year because he had never been there. It is very hard to describe... More

We were there with my family and paid over $100 for all of us to get in. The lake is roped off so if any of your children are not adequate swimmers, they are not allowed past the rope. Also you can not even hold your small children on the other side of the rope. I felt like we only... More

A family oriented fun time at Gretna lake complete with a sandy beach! My favorite place to spend a summer day. With I summer pass we spend afternoons swimming.

Our weather was not ideal but they offered a discount based on the forecast. Super-clean and tremendous fun for the kids! Roped off shallow end for non-swimmers and fun for more confident swimmers including diving board, high dive and water swing. Sandy beach area for those who want to play in the sand. Nice picnic pavilions that offered protection from... More

Went with another family and had an awesome day! Kids loved swimming , diving and volleyball! Brought a picnic lunch. Only drawback was the kids couldn't play frisbee or toss a ball around. Only volleyball allowed. Very clean and safe environment!

Great place. Usually the thought of public pool/ lake bathrooms disgusts me but this place was immaculate. If you have great swimmers rest assured they will have a blast. The little ones can wade in the shallow. The prices were decent in the snack shack. Great day. Worth the hour drive from Hanover.

We had four birthdays within 3 weeks in August so we decided to combine and splurge on a catered, pavillion picnic at Mount Gretna Lake. Glad I called a month early as only one of our day choices was available. Special thanks to Phil for making it easy. To sum it up: Great weather, good food, good time for all.... More

$16 per adult, $8 for 11 and under is a bit pricey for 11:30 to 6:30. You can often find a coupon to get $1 off per ticket. However, it is well worth it. Staff is friendly, water is cool and the place is well kept. We had kids from the ages of 6 to 15 who exhausted themselves on... More

I had gone to this Mt. Gretna as a little girl, so this is why I wanted to come back to Mt. Gretna and see a place that was near and dear to my heart. Still the same lake. The prices are steep to get in if you are going to bring a family you are not just going to... More

Went on a recent, very hot, Saturday. The venue opens at 11:30 and we arrived at noon. Already crowded but to be expected since it was a weekend and HOT! Very clean restrooms and shower areas. Nice picnic table areas. There are some shaded areas off the sandy beach, under the trees. I'd recommend bringing an umbrella and lawn chairs.... More
