Took the 8:15pm North Pole Express on a Friday evening with family, including a 3-year-old. Positives: excellent Santa and Mrs. Claus (they seem to have managed to visit every child and give each a jingle bell ornament); the banjo- and harmonica-playing musician was fun; ticket included hot chocolate and a chocolate-chip cookie. Negatives: $15 TO PARK, are you kidding? (Not... More

The North Pole Express was a Santa encounter that our 8 year grandson, myself or my husband will never forget! Santa sat face to face with him and had a one on one conversation with him for about 5 minutes! The pre-paid photos of him with Santa and Mrs. Claus are priceless. We also enjoyed the cookies and hot chocolate.... More

I took my 3 year old grandson on the North Pole Express today and he loved it! It really is a nice time. The trains and all of the buildings are beautiful restored and maintained. Even the bathroom was very clean and the paper towels were placed nicely in a cute basket. Something I didn't expect to see and a... More

What a great experience we had when we took our family on the North Pole Express train ride this past Sunday. The ride started out great with complimentary hot coco and chocolate chip cookies. After our snack, Santa and Mrs. Claus stopped by. They were so friendly and spent the time to make our family feel special. We took a... More

Had a great time with my two kids. The railroad has done a great job restoring and caring for the engines and cars. They give an authentic experience.

We went there with 2 other couples on Fall foliage trip and Halloween special train. Bought the vouchers through a Groupon deal and still felt that we wasted our time (2 1/2 hour ride) and money. especially the fall foliage trip was horrible. No real views of fall foliage, an old diesel train just travels at a very slow pace... More

We have taken the hourly excursion ride now a couple of times. This mainly because our little one just loves it. So far we have always bought first class tickets and certainly credit to the staff for a very clean train with excellent personal service. They serve soft drinks and alcoholic beverages on the train, or at least in first... More

I've been to New Hope quite a few times but this was my first ride on the railroad. It's a little pricey but nice. I sat in the first class car and it was comfortable. They have a cash bar which was nice. They give you the history of the railroad and of the surrounding area along the ride. It... More
