Special place for our family

We love this place. So serene. Certain times of the year, it's heavenly. If you enjoy the outdoors and nature, this is the place to go.

This is just a wonderful family or couple adventure to take! You can check out the preserve or walk the Hill at Bowman's Tower and see the magnificent Tower itself. But I have to warn you, it's quite a exercise walk! But the scenery is worth it all!

A wonderful hike through trails and water falls. Lots of birds, and identified trees and plants. A great information center with brochures and articles are available as well

We visited since it was close to where we were staying. We had a pleasant walk in the woods. The wildflowers were not as evident in August but those plants in bloom were nice. We decided to come back next Spring to see it when more plants are blooming.

My first time visit and was attracted to it because of the word "wildflowers". On this beautiful Saturday sunshine day as I drove up the first thing I notice is that the pavilion is marked "reserved" as they are getting ready for a wedding. Driving up the road to the actual visitors center, the greenery is pretty. The visitor center... More

First time visit at end of July; came for one of their "Knowing Native Plants" lectures, so won't be able to speak to most of the grounds. Spent about an hour inside the visitor's center looking at slides and listening to the speaker, then we went on a walk through the meadow to see the plants in person. Would have... More

Had a wonderful hike through the preserve, but alas, we saw very little flowers (time of year?)...nice trails through, lots of birds and benches to sit and reflect by the creek while a bull frog vocalized his indignation at our presence!

It was closed when we went on a Monday, but there was a plant sale taking place, so we were able to drive in. There really isn't much to see and aren't many flowers in bloom here, but I am sure in the blooming season, you can see more. There are walking trails and gardens to see. It is good... More

My friend and I took the 2:00 tour. It was very interesting because I recently moved to the area and there were a number of species that were new to me that are not native to New York. The tour was a little too long.

We loved this park with trails and wildflowers. We didn't see so many flowers due to the time of season but it was such a special place to visit. There is a nature park office and they also sell plants and wildflowers.
